November 2022 Board of Trustees Update

On November 4, 2022, the GVSU Board of Trustees acted on a handful of items related to GVSU-authorized charter public schools.
First, the board approved a name change for two schools authorized by GVSU. Covenant House Academy Detroit and Covenant House Academy Grand Rapids requested name changes to Covenant Schools Detroit and Covenant High School Grand Rapids, respectively.
Then, the Board approved the appointments and reappointments of 35 total charter school board members. The GVSU Charter Schools Office is thankful for the 21 board members who renewed their service to their community school, and is excited to welcome the following 14 individuals as new board members for GVSU-authorized charter schools:

- Johnathan Randle -- New Paradigm College Prep
- Robbie Bolton -- Paragon Charter Academy
- Carrie Schultz -- Saginaw Covenant Academy
- Marguerite Cotto -- The Greenspire School
