Fuller Places 2nd in GVSU's 3MT® Competition

Congratulations to Jakia Fuller ’16 who placed 2nd in Grand Valley State University’s (GVSU) inaugural Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition. GVSU’s 3MT® competition consisted of 11 graduate students across GVSU’s campus presenting their independent within three minutes and using one PowerPoint slide. Jakia presented her thesis, “Identity Development with African American Students in Relation to Black Studies Programs.” Her 2nd place finish came with a $250 cash prize and bragging rights as one of the first GVSU students to participate in this worldwide competition founded at the University of Queensland in Australia.
