Velarde '18 Receives Association for Student Conduct Administration Diversity Scholarship

Congratulations to Celeste Velarde ’18 who received an Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) Diversity Scholarship to attend the 2017 ASCA Annual Conference. According to ASCA (n.d.), “The Diversity Scholarship was established to increase the diversity of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) through the recruitment of professionals from diverse backgrounds. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students and professionals who identify with historically underrepresented groups within student judicial/student conduct processes.” As an ASCA Diversity Scholarship recipient, Celeste will serve on the ASCA Diversity Committee and submit a proposal for presentation for the 2018 ASCA Annual Conference. Celeste’s graduate assistantship is in the Dean of Students Office, where she works with the conduct process.
