National Depression Screening Day 2019

Thursday, October 3, 2019

On Thursday, October 3rd, the University Counseling Center will be participating in National Depression Screening Day.  This day allows you to complete a brief screening questionnaire to see if you are at risk for mood and anxiety disorders.  All individuals who take part in the screening will have a chance to meet with a counselor, on-the-spot, to discuss their results. The results are kept confidential. During this time you will learn about the signs and symptoms of mood and anxiety disorders and how to help a friend.

It only takes ten minutes to complete a screening and find out your results. Screenings are offered to all GVSU students, faculty & staff.

For more information on how to manage depression and how depression affects those around you, attend our Managing Your Depression workshop.
