Approach to Therapy:

I am interested in a cognitive approach to therapy and the practice of both CBT and DBT techniques. I like the idea that we can all effectively equip ourselves with the necessary coping strategies and skill sets to face whatever life decides to bring our way.

I am passionate about helping students adjust to college life and appreciate the difficulties living away from home can present, having emigrated to the U.S.A. myself, many years ago. I believe in the importance of social support systems but I also believe that everyone has the ability to resolve and work through their individual challenges on their own, through self-awareness and an understanding of their past. I value the existential approach in that we all feel a need to know what our purpose is in life; I hope to encourage my clients to see the meaning and worth they hold within themselves.
