Computing Professor Paul Leidig Elected ABET Director for Computing

GVSU School of Computing Director and Professor, Paul Leidig, has been elected the Chair of ABET’s Computing Area Delegation. ABET is a global nonprofit organization that accredits more than 4,300 associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs worldwide in the areas of applied and natural sciences, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. As Chair, Leidig serves as the Area Director for Computing on the Board of Directors, along with the chair and area directors for Applied Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Engineering Technology. Leidig previously served as Chair of the Criteria Committee.
“I am humbled to serve in this new role and appreciate the respect and confidence expressed by peers and colleagues whom I respect,” Leidig said. “I am excited to work with the staff of ABET and the many dedicated volunteers who serve our profession.”
