“Safe Learning Environments for Our Students,” featuring guest speaker Samantha Fuentes, a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, is an event being held at Loosemore Auditorium on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 6-8:30PM. Following a short documentary, “G is for Gun: The Arming of Teachers in America,” Ms. Fuentes will share her story since the shooting a year ago. A facilitator and panel of interdisciplinary experts will engage the audience in a constructive discussion about the issue of guns in schools and how our community should respond to the recent spate of mass shootings.
