Groundswell Team Members to Present at North American Association of Environmental Educators Annual Conference

Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP) staff represented GVSU and Groundswell at the North American Association of Environmental Educators (NAAEE) Annual Conference in October 2016. Presentations by CEP staff included: "Lessons and Resources for Stewardship Education," "Students as Change-makers: Leading Community Engagement for Water Quality Protection," and "Groundswell and PBS LearningMedia Partnership: Accessible Environmental Education Resources."
 

Record Number of K-12 Teachers Enrolled in 2016 Groundswell Summer Institute

Groundswell Summer Institute was a tremendous success due in large part to the many dedicated K-12 teachers in West Michigan who participated in the week-long professional development. This institute covered many topics related to place-based environmental education including non-point source pollution, teaching outdoors, green infrastructure, teaching engineering content, working with English Language Learners, culturally inclusive teaching, environmental justice, and community engagement.
