Classics Alumni Workshop: Kendall Farkas

April 17, 2021

Kendall Farkas (BA, 2016) is now a full-fledged Latin teacher, and she has some insider knowledge to share that will be fascinating.  Kendall will chat about her experience in the classroom teaching Latin through Comprehensible Input and Second Language Acquisition-backed practices to create a more equitable learning environment for all students. In this workshop, she will talk about how the field of Latin teaching is evolving, and she will be sharing her graduate school and classroom experiences relating to this recent (and exciting!) shift.

Kendall Farkas received her B.A. in Classics and double minors in Archaeology and Anthropology from GVSU in 2016, and she earned her M.A.T. in Latin and Classical Humanities from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018. She currently teaches at Belmont High School in Belmont, MA.

Kendall is bright, engaging, and has a lot of good advice to share (even if you're not planning a career as a teacher). You won't want to miss this!

Workshop is held via Zoom on Thursday, April 22nd at noon.
