James P. Kennedy ’09, Esq., is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan in the Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division. In this role, he advises and represents the Michigan Bureau of State Lottery, the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Mr. Kennedy earned the B.A. cum laude in Classics (Classical
Languages emphasis) in 2009. He continued his education at the
University of Notre Dame, where he earned a J.D. in 2013. During his
time at Notre Dame, he researched international law—specifically
focused on the law of war and drone warfare. He also served as
co-captain for Notre Dame’s 2013 international moot court team.
