Below you can select Exploratory StudyTeachable Majors and Minors, Pre-Professional Advising, Advising for CLAS Majors Pursuing PA or PT, or All Other CLAS Majors/minors.  After that, you will be able to see who advises for your major/minor.

  • If you have changed or will be changing your major and/or minor, you will want to meet with the advisor for that new major and/or minor.
  • If you are a double major/minor/pre-professional program, please schedule your appointment with the advisor who works with the program you have the most questions about.
  • If you have been dismissed, are in jeopardy of dismissal, on academic probation (overall GPA below 2.0), or are re-entering the university after having been away for a year or longer, call (616) 331-8585 to schedule an appointment. Please do not make an appointment online.

Teachable majors include: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, French, German, Group Social Studies (elementary only), History, Integrated Science, Latin, Mathematics, Music (K-12), Physics, Social Studies, Spanish & Visual Arts (K-12).
Teachable minors include: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, French, German, History, Mathematics.

If you are in your first or second year, you can meet with Justin Sims.
Students in any year of their degree program can meet with Tom Fellows, Nick Woodward, or Emily Davis
