Description
The Grand Rapids Surgery Interest Group (GR SIG) from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU CHM) is excited to continue the tradition of hosting suture clinics in the winter semester. We invite any students interested in learning various suturing techniques, getting a suture kit to take home for continued practice, and networking opportunity with 1st-year medical students to join us. Historically this event fills up quickly, and we offer seats on a first-registered-first-offered basis. We will accept registration after the maximum 36 seats are filled in the event someone has to cancel last minute, and we can reach out to the next person in line for the opportunity to join us. Below are the important details, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Who: First 36 undergraduate students who sign up at GVSU.
Where: Suture Clinic will be held in person in Padnos 107 and 109. Room numbers will be sent out to those who have registered.
When: Date 03/25/2023, Saturday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Payment: Once registered, MSU CHM Students will provide instructions to submit $30.00 via Venmo. Includes fees for pig feet and suture kits students take home. For students interested in participating but do not want to take home a suture kit, the cost is only $20.00. If any students are interested in participating and the cost may be a barrier, please email Joe Mariscal at [email protected]. We can offer a waiver of fees.
