MSU CHM West Michigan Pathways Program

Pathways events will take place at the MSU Secchia Center, located along the medical mile in downtown Grand Rapids. Most of the curriculum will take place in person, with the possibility of shifting to virtual meetings if extenuating circumstances arise.
Accepted students will participate in biweekly programming on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Sessions will run from early October to late March, with an optional session in April for students who are planning to apply to CHM via the Early Assurance pathway. Students are expected to attend 80% of the sessions offered throughout the program, which usually allows for one absence each semester.

Additionally, students are required to attend one local lecture & student roundtable of their choice from the College's Your Health Lecture Series (*Spring lectures at Aquinas College and Hope College will be posted this fall)
Description
The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (CHM) welcomes applications to the West Michigan Pre-Medical Pathways program, an interactive and informative program for undergraduate students attending college in West Michigan who are interested in a career in medicine. In addition to learning about MSU CHM, Pathways students will hear from physicians about various medical specialties, participate in hands-on simulation activities, engage with current medical students, and receive valuable information from the CHM Office of Admissions about how to prepare for the medical school application process.
