  1. Academically Adrift Audio Conference (Friday, Feb 18th)- Julie Guevara 

Inside Higher Education is hosting an audio conference featuring Richard Arum, co-author of " Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses" who will discuss his book and research using College Learning Assessment data and the implications his findings have for higher education as a whole.
The event details are as follows: Date: Friday, February 18th

2.   Undergraduate Research Fair (Oct. 4, 2011) - Mary Schutten

The undergraduate research fair is slated for Oct 4, 2011. How will your unit share the opportunities to work with faculty? This may be a time to brainstorm ways to use this event to connect with new students to the program. The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS) supports the many creative/scholarly faculty and student collaborations.  Susan Mendoza (mendozsu@ of OURS ( is available to share the many resources that are available as well as help units develop information for the fair.
