Repair Clinic Makes 50 Repairs and More

The Oct. 24 Repair Clinic preparations underway (Photo by Renee Zettle Sterling)

The Repair Clinic held last night in Holton Hooker Living and Learning Center helped many Lakers keep it together at this busy time of the term.  17 volunteers from the faculty and staff made over 50 successful repairs to backpacks, clothing, pencil cases, and even a customize strap for a wheelchair during the two-hour clinic.

Even though the clinic is free to our students and the President's office supplied some great swag, the volunteers wish that every repair was possible.  VMA Professor Renee Zettle Sterling and ANT chair Heather Van Wormer have vowed to watch even more zipper repair hack videos to be even better prepared to conquer broken jeans zippers next time.

Eight students learned to knit and some took advantage of the advising support at the clinic to learn more about study abroad and their academic options.
