English Professor and Biomedical Sciences Alum to be honored by GVSU Alumni

Professor Shinian Wu of English has been selected by the GVSU Alumni Association as the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Educator. He will be honored at a luncheon on Friday, April 26 at the Alumni House and then honored at the April 27 afternoon ceremony.
A description of the award :
The Outstanding Educator Award is given annually at April Commencement to a faculty member who has had a significant impact on the careers of alumni.
Faculty are nominated by alumni. A panel of members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors then selects the award recipient. All award recipients are approved by the university provost before the public announcement.
Our Distinguished Alum comes from the Biomedical Sciences academic unit. The recipient will be Mark Smith, ’91. He is Senior VP of MedicalAffairs/Chief Medical Officer at CEO Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group.
