Subsets of the SIG group have started examining Jamboard data from the Visioning Workshops Jen will report progress and status at May 4 UH meeting (attendance optional)

2. Are you a content provider? 

If you are creating content that eventually ends up on a GVSU webpage, there are some resources that will keep you web-friendly.  GVSU is committed to both ADA compliance and writing standards across all parts of the GVSU website (including the CLAS and unit websites) so knowing how to format a document to make it web-ready and how to write copy that complies with GVSU’s standards will save your webmaster from making corrections. 

 

3. Rebranding in IT 

The IT helpdesk has been rebranded. They should now be called "IT Services" and should be contacted via [email protected] or https://www.gvsu.edu/it/

WRT 219 02 – Introduction to Creative Writing   

Instructor: Oindrila Mukherjee ( 

Format: online 

 

This course introduces students to creative writing in three genres – fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Students will read and respond to a variety of published works, learn basic creative writing techniques, and practice writing original poems, short fiction pieces and personal essays about their lives. This course fulfils a core requirement for Writing majors and minors and Advertising and Public Relations majors (Advertising emphasis), as well as the Gen Ed (Foundations: Arts) requirement. Prerequisite – WRT 130 or 150.  

 

PLS 211 International Relations 

Instructor: Polly Diven 

Format: Online with asynchronous components 

 

This introductory course in world affairs fulfills two General Education categories: Social and Behavioral Sciences and Global Perspectives. We examine current international affairs and learn about how states, societies, and international organizations deal with key challenges to international peace and security. Topics include human rights, the environment, globalization, terrorism, and many other contemporary international issues.
