You may have noticed the inspiring stories shared on social media with the hashtag “GVgt”. These serve as reminders of the transformative power of high quality, out-of-the-classroom experiences. On November 30, please consider supporting our new fund CLAS Fellowships for Liberal Education in Action which will help bring these opportunities within reach for more students. Some units have their own focus for Giving Tuesday. Please keep an eye out for those, too.
Students who anticipate a December graduation are required to submit their application for graduation online. Students who plan to attend commencement must have their application submitted by Friday, December 3 for inclusion in the commencement program. Applications are still accepted after this date, but the student’s name will not appear in the program. Questions regarding graduation audits and applications should be directed to the Records Office at [email protected].

Instantly Take a Screen Shot (Windows)
Communications guru Debbie Mayo Smith has shared a great tip for Instantly taking a screen shot of any open window, and it automatically will be inserted into the item you’re working on (in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Hold down the Windows and Shift keys and press S.
Select as much or as little of the screen in any application and it will be on your clipboard.
Press Ctrl + V to paste it
Low Enrolled Section Management
Any course expected to be canceled for low enrollment, and any greyed-out course that will not be opened, should be cancelled before December 1. By that date we need to have our total number of LE sections down to a threshold set by the Provost’s office. Earlier cancellations are helpful. Questions may be directed to George McBane.
