We are excited to announce the names of those who will participate in the implementation of the CLAS Vision, Commitment, and Action Plan. The following faculty and staff will join the faculty fellows and Dean’s Office staff to round out the implementation teams.

We are seeking staff or faculty colleagues who are committed to nonpartisan student voter engagement, and who are willing to step up and co-lead the GVSU Votes! Coalition. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me directly for more information at [email protected].
We are seeking students interested in voter engagement work to serve as Campus Vote Project Democracy Fellows. Please see the attached Campus Vote Project position description and share with students. Interested students can contact me or Landon Myers at [email protected] directly.

REMINDER – CLAS Final grades for Winter 2022 are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 2. This earlier deadline allows CLAS the time needed to finalize all 52,000+ grades by the deadline set by the Registrar’s Office. Thank you for your assistance in meeting this deadline.

Spring Appreciation Gathering Today
The Gathering will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the tent adjacent to Calder Art Center. All staff and faculty are welcome to stop in at any time. CLAS Faculty Council and the Dean’s Office have been collaborating to plan this fun opportunity to connect and to celebrate. Come and pick up a box lunch if you reserved one. Stay and visit with friends and colleagues and congratulate CLAS award winners. GVSU’s Whale Radio will provide music. There will also be games and opportunities to win fun prizes. Committee reports will be viewable on screens in Calder.
Commencement is Friday
Faculty and AP staff are invited to process during the April Commencement ceremonies. Please RSVP. Note that the CLAS Commencement ceremony is in Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
