Alpha Phi Sigma Officers

Fall 2018 - Winter 2019

President - Kelly Jahnke
I am a senior at Grand Valley. My major is Legal Studies and my minor is Criminal Justice. I have many ideas to further our criminal justice study and knowledge. My father is a retired Chief of Police of Royal Oak and he is currently the President of the F.B.I.N.A. Michigan Chapter. To add on, my aunt is a sergeant and my uncle is a lieutenant. In other words, I have been around the criminal justice system for as long as I can remember and I have learned many things along the way. I have a passion for it and I hope some of my perspectives will help advance your knowledge!

Vice President - Genevieve Reside
I am a senior double-majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Juvenile Justice. Additionally, I am involved in the Criminal Justice Students' Association, the Laker Marching Band, and the Grand Valley Dance Troupe. Currently I work for Grand Valley's Charter Schools' Office as a campus ambassador. After I graduate I plan to attend graduate school to master in criminal justice. My main interests in the field of Criminal Justice include feminist criminology and green criminology.

Financial Officer - Mady Tyldesley
I am a senior majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Juvenile Justice. I have experience handling money with other organizations. I also am incredibly good with time management and have good organizational skills. I am excited to become more involved in the organization.

Membership Officer - Sky Christenson
I'm a senior majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology, with a minor in Juvenile Justice. I also specialize in behavioral psychology and work as a Behavior Technician for DE. One of the things I love most about this organization is the collectivism and importance it brings to not just the Criminal Justice community but the community of Grand Rapids as a whole.
