Grand Valley State University seeks a collaborative and institutionally minded leader with a proven record of innovation to serve as the Dean of the College of Health Professions (CHP). The CHP Dean reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs and works collaboratively with the Deans from the other six colleges to ensure Grand Valley graduates students who are both liberally educated and professionally prepared.

The College of Health Professions is located on the Health Campus of Grand Valley State University in beautiful downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The dean is the academic officer for the college, responsible for overall leadership of ten undergraduate programs, ten graduate programs (eight master’s and two clinical doctorates) and five combined degree programs. The dean has oversight of a $14 million budget, a growing full-time faculty that currently numbers 90, and an office of 2 associate deans, 1 assistant dean, and two administrative support staff. The dean is responsible for strategic planning, accreditation, and program development and evaluation.

Grand Valley, established in 1960, is a four-year public university. It attracts nearly 24,000 students with its high-quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities.
