Prof. Debbie Herrington and her collaborators at Michigan State University recently published a paper in the Journal of Chemical Education. The paper was selected as an Editor's Choice manuscript giving it full open access status.

Manuscript describing protein structures published by Leonard and Powers labs

Work carried out by GVSU chemistry student Tom Harper in Dave Leonard's lab was recently published in the Biochemical Journal.  Harper's work covered both enzyme kinetics and protein structure determination of a clinically interesting b-lactamase variant.

Wallar and Powers collaborate on two papers

Chemistry professors Rachel Powers and Brad Wallar have recently published two back-to-back papers in the journal ACS Infectious Diseases.  The articles feature work by four GVSU undergraduate students.

New 400 MHz NMR purchased with NSF grant

A new 400 MHz JEOL NMR will be arriving in the summer of 2018 to replace an aging 300 MHz instrument. Professor Shannon Biros led the development of a new MRI proposal seeking funding to replace that productive but aging instrument.
