What should students do before receiving care at campus health?

  • Call GVSU Campus Health Center to schedule an appointment (616-252-6030).
  • Same day appointments will be seen based on availability of providers.
  • Bring a copy of your insurance card (both front and back) – a photo copy is fine

Can students receive care if they don’t have any insurance?

Students can receive care regardless of their insurance status. If a patient does not have insurance, they would receive a 40% discount on their services.

How does the health center bill their services?

The health center bills as a family practice office. Call your insurance company for further information regarding coverage. The insurance company may ask for this NPI number: 1558580977

Is there a pharmacy on campus to pick up my prescription?

There is not a pharmacy on campus for students to pick up their prescriptions. Students can pick up their prescriptions at one of the pharmacy locations listed on the Homepage.

How would my child receive services after hours?

 If you have an urgent need, please seek immediate care by calling 911 or visiting the nearest emergency room.
