President
Responsibilities:
1. Act as the official representative of CAB.
2. Prepare an agenda and preside over the Executive Board Meetings
3. Organize and collaborate with the VPs to plan transition programs
4. Coordinate the selection process of delegates to conferences and conventions
5. Facilitate group development and interpersonal relationships of CAB
6. Oversee the coordination of membership and retention events
7. Oversees all finance’s and dues involving off-campus account
8. Oversees CAB’s email
Vice President of Public Relations
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees and meets with Director of Graphic Design, Director of Social Media, and Director of Creative Marketing. The VP fills in wherever there are needs among Directors
2. Oversees the integration of CAB events to other student orgs, Residence Life, and FSL.
3. Work with general members to promote committee events
4. Create content for weekly newsletter
5. Work with Promotions and the Office of Student life to advertise events
Public Relations Directors
Director of Graphic Design
Responsibilities:
1. Creates flyers, banners, and pluggers
2. Preferably a Graphic Design Major
3. Promote CAB and its activities to campus and surrounding community
4. Ensure duplicating of all advertising and promotion materials
5. Work with general members to promote committee events
Director of Social Media
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the upkeep and posting of CAB’s website and social media accounts
2. Work with general members to promote committee events
Director of Creative Marketing
Responsibilities:
1. Works with individual committees to plan creative marketing for their events
2. Works with outside companies to order marketing supplies for CAB
3. Work with general members to promote committee events
Vice President of Traditional Programs
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees Directors of Homecoming, Director of Cinema, Director of Headliners and Directors of President’s Ball
Traditional Programs Directors
Director of Homecoming (2)
Responsibilities:
1. Promote and create activities pertaining to fostering school spirit
2. Coordinate events throughout Homecoming Week
3. Contact other student organizations and coordinate their involvement in the planning of Homecoming week.
4. Work with Alumni Affairs in coordinating a cohesive schedule
5. Manage all aspects of Homecoming, including but not limited to hospitality, set-up, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
6. Prepare budgets for review by directors
Director of Cinema
Responsibilities:
1. Select film series for fall and spring semesters
2. Manage all aspects of CAB Cinema: film booking, concessions, set-up, volunteer management, etc.
3. Works with Special Events to plan movies for Family Weekend and Siblings Weekend
Director of Presidents' Ball (2)
Responsibilities:
1. Work with co-director to plan all events surrounding President’s Ball
2. Manage all aspects President’s Ball: hospitality, set-ups, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
3. Prepare budgets for review by directors
Director of Headliners
Responsibilities:
1. Research, plan, implement, and evaluate major performances
2. Submit suggestions to director for major performances
3. Work with Live Nation to research affordable acts
4. Survey the students for feedback on events they want to see on campus
Vice President of Special Programs
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees and meets with Directors of Special Events, Director of Multicultural Events, Director of Comedy and Director of Live Music
Special Programs Directors
Directors of Special Events (2)
Responsibilities:
1. Works with co-director to plan Battle of the Valleys, ExtravaGrandza, Family Weekend, Founders Day, Sibs and Kids, Magicians and other special events.
2. Manage all aspects Special Events: hospitality, set-ups, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
3. Prepare budgets for review directors
Director of Multicultural events
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees Intercultural Festival
2. Research, plan, and implement, and evaluate a minimum of two (2) performances per semester
3. Prepare budgets for review by directors
4. Submit suggestions to directors for various program ideas
5. Work with Division of Inclusion and Equity to partner on events
6. Manage all aspects Critical Issues: hospitality, set-ups, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
7. Brings Slam Poets, speakers, and other events that promote conversations about Critical Issues
Director of Comedy
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees Last Laker Standing
2. Oversees Laughfest
3. Submit suggestions to directors for various comedy acts
4. Manage all aspects of Live Music: hospitality, set-ups, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
5. Prepare budgets for review by directors
Director of Live Music
Responsibilities:
1. Oversees GV’s Got Talent
2. Plans Laker Kickoff Party
3. Research, plan, and implement, and evaluate a minimum of two (2) musical performances per semester (outside of GV’s Got Talent and Laker Kickoff Party)
4. Submit suggestions to directors for major performances
5. Manage all aspects of Live Music: hospitality, set-ups, technical needs, volunteer management, etc.
6. Prepare budgets for review by directors
