Description

We hope you will join us for our 4th annual fall luncheon. This event grows every year and is a great opportunity for local history organizations including societies, museums, libraries, as well as individuals interested in local history, an opportunity and connect and learn from one another.

This year we are particularly excited to showcase our Connections Along the Grand River exhibition and the individuals and organizations that participated. We will highlight the communities along the Grand River from Grand Haven to Portland, MI and the vibrant changes these communities have undergone since their founding. Come learn more about how the Grand River affected the area's growth and how communities impacted the river. This event features an opportunity for local history organizations to connect with one another and coincides with the opening of our Connections Along the Grand River exhibition in the Mary Idema Pew Library exhibition space. This project is made possible by a Michigan Humanities Third Coast Conversations: Dialogues about Water in Michigan grant.
