Date and Time

Description

The Annual GVSU Teach-In, “Power, Privilege and Difficult Dialogues”, will take place this coming Fall semester, November 6 – 7, 2019. We are reaching out now, to all who may be considering a session presentation or incorporating the Teach-In into your Fall 2019 schedule of activities (course syllabi).  The exceptionally well-attended Teach-In ( ~ 1600 attendees in 2018) is a unique opportunity not to be missed for engagement/outreach in your course(s)/program(s).

For those new to the GVSU community, the GVSU Teach-In is a student-centered social justice event , featuring session presentations of a novel nature that engage participants across a variety of challenging issues. While not strictly academic in nature (student collaboration is required for presenters), the Teach-In aspires to be fully engaging, informative, and where possible, promote dialogue in a transformative way for all participants.

For reference, please see all previous GVSU Teach-In presentation details at www.gvsu.edu/teach-in

In collaboration with Student Senate, the University Academic Senate (UAS) through one of its standing committees, the Equity and Inclusion Committee (EIC) is responsible for planning and organizing the Teach-In.
