The Division of Inclusion and Equity currently has grants available for faculty, staff and students, to attend the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE) being held in Fort Worth, Texas from May 30 – June 3, 2017. The Division of Inclusion and Equity supports ongoing education and development of Grand Valley State University’s students, faculty, and staff through professional grants to attend conferences, symposium, and other opportunities that further the values of the Division. This effort supports the University’s Framework for Inclusion and Equity, and advances objectives in the 2016-2021 University Strategic Plan, to ensure members of the community are provided with learning and development related to intercultural competency and social justice education.

The Division will provide funding for: conference registration, flights, hotel accommodations, and transportation to and from hotel. All other expenses are the responsibility of the applicant. All faculty/staff applicants must have support from their supervisor. All student applicants must be in good academic standing. An itemized projected budget, resume or CV, and statement/letter of support is required in the application.
