Big Data Percolator on May 3

Data and the Digital Unconference – Digital Research and Teaching Percolator, GVSU, May 3
Do you have current projects that require digital skills you don't have? Do you have digital projects you want to launch but aren't sure how? Are you just digital curious? Get brewing with the Digital Research and Teaching Percolator! Benefit from discussions about your projects, find faculty collaborators, share ideas for resources, or simply explore the possibilities. The scope of ‘Digital’ is meant to be broad and welcoming: if you are interested in identifying resources for projects ranging from "big data" to "digital humanities", and especially to meet collaborative researchers from around campus, you should attend!
On Thursday May 3, 2018, 10-noon, colleagues from across the university will meet in an informal "unconference" format in the library's Multipurpose Room (030 LIB) to find new strategies and subjects of inquiry in data and digital scholarship and teaching. We will follow up with a more targeted meeting in the early fall. Please indicate your interest in the Percolator, whether or not you can attend the spring meeting, and any interests and expertise in Digital research or teaching at www.gvsu.edu/clas/percolator. You may also enroll in an email distribution list for digital scholarship at www.gvsu.edu/clas/datadigital.
We hope to see you in May!
