Countless individuals serve Michigan's schools as paraprofessional educators in both instructional and non-instructional capacities. Faculty and staff in the College of Education and Community Innovation at Grand Valley State (GVSU) University are well-prepared to support individuals working in Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS) as paraprofessionals who are interested in pursuing a teaching certification to become a teacher. GVSU faculty and staff will collaborate with BCPS in determining the needed resources and supports to develop individualized and efficient pathways for current paraprofessionals to gain teacher certification.
