2022-2023 Intensive Training

February 1, 2022

The START Team is continuing to evaluate our delivery of information and trainings, aligning our offerings with the goals of greater statewide access and increased equity. We realize that flexibility is necessary as we move forward and plan for the best ways to deliver effective training to support all students with ASD across the state. Our goal is to have multiple ways for school staff and families to access information including live training delivered by START, regional offerings by START trainers, recorded webinars, and various website resources.

In order to have the ability to make information and resources more readily available to all, it will be necessary for us to dedicate significant staff time and energy over the next year to resource development. Therefore, we have decided not to begin any new intensive training series during the 2022-2023 school year. We will continue with our planned training schedule with current IT sites. We anticipate that we will still hold live statewide trainings, such as FAPE in the LRE, Education-Based Evaluations, Peer to Peer Support, and Self-Management. Recorded webinars and other web-based materials will be added to the website and shared with START trainers as they are available.
