Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I am an international student and there are a lot of international students, so I feel really welcome. I think it was a good choice.

How did Grand Valley aid you throughout your enrollment process?
I really didn't enroll myself; my uncle did it for me. But, I went to ELS, it is an English as second language program, and when I graduated from there I transferred to Grand Valley.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
First, I like the international students because they make this experience memorable. Second, I like the resources Grand Valley provides like the writing center and the tutoring center.

How has the Padnos International Center assisted you in adjusting to life in the United States?
They provided all the resources I needed. They talked to me, helped me meet other people, meet my friends, meet international students. During orientation they explained to us how the American culture works.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your college experience?
Being able to meet with them when I don't understand stuff or my classes are difficult for me is a really good thing. I'll go and talk to them and they are really understanding and helpful.

What advice would you give to prospective international students?
I would encourage them to come because this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience - living in another country, with another language, another culture. But you're not alone, you meet other people that will help you grow and become more responsible.
