- Degree offered: B.A., B.S.. Students seeking the B.A. degree must demonstrate third-semester proficiency in a foreign language. Students seeking the B.S. degree must choose one of the following: BIOL 120 + 130 or CHEM 111 + 117 or GEOL 133 + 134 or PHYS 181 + 182.
- This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). Science electives must be selected from different disciplilnes. Social science elective must be a non-ANTH course. Humanities electives must be selected from different disciplines. Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements. GVSU will honor the MACRAO agreement.
- U.S. Diversity electives: HIST 151, HIST 152, HIST 153, SOC 205, SOC 209, SOC 210
- Elective courses could be used to pursue a minor.
Professional and career opportunities for students majoring in anthropology include jobs in international development/assistance (nonprofit and government), government, education, museums, international business, zoos, human services, and health care.
