  • Degree offered: B.S.
  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer agreement (MTA).  Humanities electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Social science elective must be a non-PS course.  Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.  GVSU will still honor the MACRAO agreement.
  • This program is designed to prepare students for postgraduate programs. Postgraduate programs of two years or less include histological technology, medical technology, occupational therapy, public health, physical therapy, physician assistant, respiratory therapy, and surgeon assistant. Postgraduate programs of four years or more include chiropractic, dentistry, human medicine, optometry, podiatry, veterinary medicine and graduate programs in the biological sciences.
  • Students may want to complete some of the above science courses after they transfer to Grand Valley State University.
  • BOTH BI 121 + 122 need to be taken to receive credit for BMS 208 + 290 + 291 + 309.
  • PY 201 and SO 251 or 254 are strongly recommended as social science electives.
  • Students should be involved in shadowing professionals, volunteering, and community service.
  • IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS SEE THE GRCC COUNSELING AND CAREER CENTER FOR A LIST OF COURSES THAT WILL FULFILL ELECTIVES.
