  • Degrees offered: B.A.; B.S. Students seeking the B.A. degree are required to demonstrate third semester competence in a foreign language.  MTH 120 is only required for students seeking the B.S. degree
  • Students may want to consider transferring after one year of basic courses. Many of the required freshman/ sophomore communication courses are not available at St. Clair.
  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  Science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Humanities electives must be a non-SPC course.  Social science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.GVSU will still honor the MACRAO agreement.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Communications is a multidisciplinary liberal arts and professional field. At Grand Valley a student may choose a general major in communications or one of seven specialized majors. These majors include: Film and Video Production, Photography, Theatre, Advertising and Public Relations, Broadcasting, Journalism, and Health Communication.
