  • Degree offered: B.S., B.A., B.F.A.. Students seeking a B.A. degree must demonstrate third semester proficiency in a foreign language. Students seeking a B.S. degree must complete STAT 200 and CIS 100 or PHL 102.
  • Accreditation: National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
  • This guide fulfills the MACRAO agreement.  Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.

  • Students are encouraged to transfer after one year of basic courses.
  • Students interested in K-12 teacher certification should take PSY 161 as a social science elective and could also take PSY 255.
  • Transfer students interested in pursuing a program with the Department of Art and Design must apply for and attend a portfolio review session to determine acceptance into the program and, if accepted, determine which studio courses may receive specific credit.  For more details on the application process to the Department of Art and Design please see www.gvsu.edu/art
