  • Degree offered: B.F.A., B.A., B.S.. Students seeking a B.A. degree must demonstrate third semester proficiency in a foreign language. Students seeking the B.S. degree must take MTH 211 and CIT 161.

  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer agreement (MTA). Science and social science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Humanities elective must be a non-ART course.   Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.  GVSU will still honor the MACRAO agreement.
  • It is strongly recommended that students transfer after one year of basic courses.
  • Students interested in K-12 teacher certification should take PSY 101 or 111 and PSY 202 as social science electives.
  • Transfer students interested in pursuing a program within the department of art & design must apply for and attend a portfolio review session to determine acceptance into the program and, if accepted, determine which studio courses may receive specific credit.  For more details on the application process to the department of art & design please see www.gvsu.edu/art
