  • Degree offered: B.F.A., B.A., B.S.. Students seeking a B.A. degree must demonstrate third semester proficiency in a foreign language. Students seeking the B.S. degree must take MATH 210.
  • Accreditation: National Association of Schools of Art and Design
  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer agreement (MTA).  Science and social science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Humanities elective must be a non-ARTS course.   Please check with an advisor at the community college for additional associate degree requirements.  GVSU will still honor the MACRAO agreement.
  • Transfer students interested in pursuing a program within the Department of Art & Design must apply for and attend a portfolio review session to determine acceptance into the program and, if accepted, determine which studio courses may receive specific credit.  For more details on the application process to the Department of Art & Design please see www.gvsu.edu/art
  • Students interested in K-12 teacher certification would take PSYC 201 for their social science elective.
  • Students may want to transfer after one year of basic courses.
