  • Students in clinical laboratory sciences may choose from three areas of specialty: cytotechnology, histotechnology, and medical technology. Within these specialties, students may choose either the 3+1 or the 4+1 plan. In the 3+1 program, students take the clinical practicum (30 semester hours) during their senior year. In the 4+1 program, the clinical practicum is post-baccalaureate.
