  • Degree offered: B.F.A., B.A., B.S.. Students seeking a B.A. degree must demonstrate third semester proficiency in a foreign language.
  • Accreditation: National Association of Schools of Art and Design
  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  Humanities elective must not be a ARTT course.  Social science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.  GVSU will still honor the MACRAO agreement.
  • Students are encouraged to transfer after one year of basic courses.
  • Students interested in K-12 teacher certification should take PSYC 1010 as a social science elective and could also take PSYC 2210.
  • Transfer students interested in pursuing a program within the Department of Art and Design must sign up for and attend a portfolio review session to determine acceptance into the program and, if accepted, determine which studio courses may receive specific credit.  For more details on the application process to the Department of Art and Design please see www.gvsu.edu/art
