  • Degree offered: B.S., B.A. Students seeking the B.A. degree are required to demonstrate third semester proficiency in a foreign language.  Students seeking the B.S. degree should take MATH 220.
  • This guide fulfills the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  Social science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Science electives must be selected from different disciplines.  Please check with your community college advisor for additional associate degree requirements.
  • It is recommended that students transfer after one year of basic courses. The required freshman/sophomore communication courses are not available at KVCC.

CAREER OPPORTUNITES

Communication Studies is a multidisciplinary liberal arts and professional field. At Grand Valley a student may choose a general major in communications studies or one of six specialized majors. These majors include: Film and Video Production, Photography, Theatre, Advertising and Public Relations, Multimedia Journalism, and Health Communications.
