Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I chose Grand Valley primarily because of their co-op system. I like that by the time you graduate you have over a year of experience.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
The labs. I love working in the lab and actually using everything I've learned in the classroom to build something.

How have you benefited from Grand Valley's liberal education foundation?
It helps teach you to look at things from a different lens. Normally with engineering you only think of everything through a science based lens.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
I can come out and not just have all this theoretical knowledge, but I'll know exactly how to apply it. I've been in a workplace and I'm familiar with using the equipment and working with customers and different things like that.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your college experience?
There have been several professors that go above and beyond what you'd expect. They expect the very best out of you.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
For prospective students of the engineering department, take a good look at the co-op system. There are very few schools in the United States, we're one of only two in Michigan that I'm aware of, that actually have a co-op program, and that is a huge plus.
