Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I was always interested in the D.N.P. and was really just waiting for Grand Valley to develop the program. I didn't want to travel far for it. I'm comfortable with Grand Valley and expect the same high quality program as I had for my master's here.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
I've had a great cross-section of courses that will prepare me for what I want to do. It's all been pertinent to a nursing career.

Have you been able to incorporate your graduate studies into your job? How?
I'm just starting to use some of the information I've gotten out of this program into the nursing program at KVCC.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
The program is very professionally goal-oriented and some of it is very personal. I've been in nursing for 33 years and this experience is really a culmination of my career, to be able to help nursing become more evidence based.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your graduate experience?
I've enjoyed every one of them. They expect a great deal of self-motivation and that's great.

What advice would you give to prospective graduate students?
If you have the opportunity to get an advanced degree, do it as early in your career as possible. It's really going to help you throughout your career.
