Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I like this school. I like that it isn't too big or too small, and it is close to my current home, so I don't have to travel far away. Also, I like the way the campus is set up. It's not in the middle of a big city.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
How much they work with the students. Whenever I have a question, it's answered. I don't have to dig around and look. I know where to go when I'm having a problem. They have tons and tons of services. If I have a question, I can call 20/20 and they will direct me. If I have a question about financial aid, I can easily talk to the office. I know of other schools where it's harder to get that information.

How have you benefited from Grand Valley's liberal education foundation?
I feel like I have been able to get a broad education. I haven't only learned about my major; I've learned about other things and how they relate to my major. Social work is not about one aspect. To be really educated you have to be educated in more than just what you are interested in.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
It has given me the tools and opportunities to go out and know how to get a job, better myself, and educate myself.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your college experience?
Most of the faculty members that I have worked with are always willing to help. They answer my emails right away and are willing to talk after class. They are very, very helpful. Plus, they are very energetic and passionate about what they teach.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
If you really want a broad education, but don't want to go to a huge school or a really small school, Grand Valley is the perfect place to go. If you're not sure what you want to do, or even if you are, Grand Valley is a great place to explore your options and learn about different things.
