Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I actually drove by here when we were camping one time. We decided to tour the campus. After I saw how awesome the campus was, I decided to look it up online. And I really like that the class size is small for the major I was going into.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
The professors. They all care about what they are teaching. At least in the major I am in they are all excellent.

How have you benefited from Grand Valley's liberal education foundation?
I've taken a couple lib classes, and I felt like they taught me not necessarily just how to be better at my job, but how to be better as a person. When I came here, I thought I knew everything about what I wanted to be when I got older, the kind of person I wanted to be, but Grand Valley helped me realize what I needed to get better at.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
Professionally it is really helpful because they stress internships. They've pushed me to do a couple, and they are really good with networking as well. All this will help me to easily find a job when I graduate.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your college experience?
I was actually going to minor in philosophy. Two professors in general kind of opened up my mind to different ways of thinking, ways that have made me a better overall person.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
Be open to different classes that you don't necessarily need to take, but might want to take, because they do make a difference. They broaden your perspective and make you a better thinker.
