Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I was amazed at the campus; it had such a warm feeling. I wanted to have smaller classes. I didn't want to be just a number. Grand Valley offered a more personalized education and I loved the living centers compared to other schools I visited.

What was the highlight of your Grand Valley experience?
Getting involved on campus. Once I became an RA, my whole outlook changed. It changed the way I thought about college. It wasn't just about getting good grades; it was about being involved. Also, getting involved in the OMA program was very important for me.

How have you benefited from Grand Valley's liberal education foundation?
There were courses that I might not have taken, but that will eventually help me.

How has Grand Valley helped you achieve your goals?
Grand Valley was very instrumental in helping me be who I am today. There are dynamic on-campus experiences available to anyone who chooses to take advantage of them and these experiences really helped me.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
Get involved. College is more than going to class and going home. It's important to get involved and begin building your resume from day one.
