Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I looked online and found several different opportunities for the M.H.A. degree and what Grand Valley had to offer was by far a better fit for my lifestyle. The fact that the campus is in downtown Grand Rapids was an added benefit.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
The classes for graduate studies are primarily in the evenings, which allow me to work during the day and attend at night.

Have you been able to incorporate your graduate studies into your job? How?
I had a wonderful opportunity to use a project that I did for my very first class here at Grand Valley. I presented it at the hospital where I now work. Before the presentation was even finished, I was offered a position.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
What I'm learning at work helps me with my studies here and what I'm learning in my studies here I'm able to use and benefit the hospital.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your graduate experience?
The classes are generally very conversational. It isn't just lecture, listen, and take notes. So, all of the students together, with the guidance of the faculty, are able to learn the subject matter.

What advice would you give to prospective graduate students?
If a student is looking for a place to experience higher education, what we have in Grand Valley is really a gem.
