Department is Hiring a Visiting Faculty for Business Communication

Visiting Faculty of Writing. The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University seeks to fill a full-time (9-month) Visitor Faculty position beginning in August 2017 to teach courses in business communication. A Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Technical or Professional Communication, English (or related field) or ABD status is required by time of employment. Candidates need to have expertise and experience teaching business communication and/or professional writing, preferably in both traditional classrooms and computer labs. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Please see the Department of Writing website, http://www.gvsu.edu/writing/, for details about this course.

This position is a one-year non-tenure track with the possibility of renewal up to three years, depending on funding and need. This position is designed for candidates planning to seek permanent positions elsewhere.
