The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University is seeking to fill a tenure-track position beginning August 2017. A Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional/Technical Communication, Writing, English, or related field is required by time of employment. Candidates should have research and teaching expertise in professional/technical communication, business communication, and/or digital/visual rhetoric. A secondary interest in the research of online teaching of writing is desirable but not required. We encourage candidates to indicate further preparation or expertise in other areas of our dynamic, modular curriculum. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester and may include business communication and a range of other professional writing courses in the major.
