				<title>Laurence José</title>

						<p>
							Laurence José earned her PhD in Rhetoric and Technical Communication in 2010 from Michigan Technological University. She also holds a Master's degree and a Diploma of Advanced Studies with an emphasis in linguistics from the University Marc Bloch (France). Her teaching experience includes courses in technical communication, composition, French, and linguistics. Her latest research explores the meaning of the global context for the disciplinary construction of technical communication. Her other research interests include: international/intercultural technical communication, technical communication pedagogy, literacy studies,<br />
and linguistics. Her work has appeared in linguistics and professional communication journals.

				<title>Sean Prentiss</title>

						<p>
							Before coming to GVSU, Sean Prentiss taught at the University of Idaho and at Western State College in Colorado. Sean has published creative writing in nonfiction, poetry, and fiction at literary journals such as Pacific Review, Ascent, Sycamore Review, River Styx, Nimrod, High Desert, ISLE. He was also recognized for his nonfiction by the Atlantic Monthly, has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and won the Plainsongs Award for his poetry. <br />
<br />
Sean is a former Peace Corps volunteer and served in Jamaica. He has also spent many summers building trails in the Pacific Northwest and the desert Southwest. He spends his summers in Colorado skiing into June and working on his cabin deep in the mountains.<br />

				<title>Christopher Toth</title>

						<p>
							Christopher Toth comes to Grand Valley from Iowa State University where he earned his doctorate in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. He also holds a Master's Degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. His latest research endeavor investigates the effectiveness of toy safety recall notices. Other research interests include visual rhetoric, professional communication pedagogy, technology issues, and negative news messages. His writing has appeared in Business Communication Quarterly and the Journal of Business and Technical Communication. Christopher is also an active contributor to the textbook, Business and Administrative Communication, as well as its ancillary materials. When not teaching writing, Christopher is a die-hard college football fan.
