AWRI Newsletter #19: June 2003

AWRI is swimming with summer activities. New projects have been initiated dealing with beach monitoring, phosphorus release from lake sediments, the effects of land use change on stream productivity, and the monitoring of Muskegon Lake, to name but a few. In addition, the inaugural experiment using our new mesocosm facility has begun. We also acknowledge the hard work of Janet Vail, whose leadership in the GLOBE (Global Learning to Benefit the Environment) program resulted in her being invited (all expenses paid) to GLOBE's international workshop in Croatia this month. Congratulations, Janet!
